Lucton offers a special Services Boarding Package for children whose parents are serving in HM Forces. We amend our fees in line with the Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA). This means that you pay no more than 10% of fees for boarding when linked to the CEA.
Our long experience of catering for the children of Forces families means that we recognise the importance of stability in the lives of children whose parents may be called away or deployed with minimum notice. We currently have over 20 Forces children at Lucton, most of whom are boarders, covering the full age range. Our small class sizes mean individual attention, which ensures each pupil can achieve the best results possible.
We recognise that Forces parents are not always able to attend scheduled parents evenings and we welcome you to the school to suit your own arrangements, ensuring that you are kept in touch with your child’s progress and welfare. If appropriate, children can take reasonable time out of school to spend time with you during leave periods.
Staff work together to create an environment in which young people can live, learn and play together in a family community. Children of all ages in our boarding houses share their interests and enthusiasms, celebrate their successes and support each other through life's ups and downs. Our values engender respect and care for others, being active and involved and respecting boundaries and limits. There are innumerable opportunities to flourish.
We are happy to arrange for you to visit the school and meet teachers and pupils. We encourage potential pupils to spend a day with us in school to get a real taste of life at Lucton. Please contact the Registrar for further details.
